So far these summer vacations have been like no other. For me summer vacations were that time of the year in which, from Monday to Thursdays I stayed in Lima relaxing in my house in the morning and after lunch I would go out somewhere with my friends. On Thursdays afternoons I would head to beach and come back Monday morning.
I realized that I had long hours of doing nothing in my house during weekdays, hours that I was wasting. Since I am reaching that age in which I need to start thinking about college applications, I need to have a productive summer.
What I decided to do was the following, with my parents I agreed on having a summer routine to make the most out of those long hours at home. From Mondays to Thursdays I would start my day at 8 o clock in the morning in which I would head to the gym for one hour. Then I would return home have a shower and at 10 start my intense math tutoring for an hour and a half. Then I would have 30 minutes of reading time and finish with my math homework until lunchtime.
With this routine I will be improving my innovation academy goal, which is to improve my English skills and my personal goal, which is to improve my math skills.
I know that only through hard work and commitment I will achieve great things.
This is more than just a summer routine. It is a routine that will help me in life. As my parents told me, you need to be organize with your schedule. Even if this requires me to wake up early or do 5 hours of math. In University you will be studying all day and all night, this is why hard work must be a habit.
