I find myself looking back at old pictures from different services Ive done to my community. I remember with nostalgia as little flashbacks come into my memory about those amazing moments I had when helping. I mean Ive always find giving the best way to feel grateful with myself. Either in the Techo Builds, volunteering in Bridges, doing social work in Pucusana, representing the schools soccer team and being the president of the Peruvian Social Studies Club, I have always been helping to make my community a better place.
Techo: This is going to be my third year as a Techo member and looking forward for the next build. Techo is one of the activities that I enjoy the most because you actually get to know the family that you are building a house to. You build a strong relationship with them and that is what makes it so unique and one of schools most popular service clubs.
Bridges: Ive just started working on bridges but the experience is really similar to the one in Techo. You go to a poor shanty town in Lima and help them build what they need. For example in my last trip, I helped this poor community build stairs so they could get to their houses.
Peruvian Social Studies Club: Already my third year in the club and second as a cabinet member. Its been amazing how this club has become a wild succes in the school. From organising the flag day to the Peru fest. We are accomplishing our mission to promote the Peruvian culture at school.
FDR Soccer Team: Soccer has always been my passion. It is a game that has defined me who I am as person. I owe soccer to much. Actively participating for the school team since I was only a little boy, it has been quite a ride. Now participating in the high school team I am ready to give my best.
I am really looking forward for this las years of high school CAS and enjoy the ride.
